Dairy products are acceptable for lactovegetarians. For strict vegetarian views, missing proteins can be consumed in the form of special vitamin supplements.

People who have chosen the path to renounce meat and animal products, it is worth remembering that the basis of a healthy diet is a balance of substances necessary for the body. Whether you are engaged in sports or just live a busy life, giving up meat – that’s not all! It’s important to take care of the variety of your diet, so that your body gets all the vitamins and minerals it needs. If you still thought that vegetarians eat only plants, you’re wrong. A vegetarian’s menu is varied, nutritious, nourishing and healthy.

Rules of vegetarian nutrition

If you have decided to become a vegetarian, you need to do it wisely, adhering to a number of rules:

  • You will have to give up meat, fish and other animal products forever. If you have chosen the path of a vegetarian diet, you can leave in your diet dairy products.
  • The diet must be full, varied. Do not lock on the vegetables and fruits. To saturate the body with the necessary proteins, eat nuts and beans. Be sure to consume enough carbohydrates.
  • Do not eat canned fruits and vegetables. On your table everything should be fresh and natural.

  • The last meal should be no later than 1.5 hours before going to bed.
  • Eat vegetables, fruits, berries grown without chemicals. If possible, grow your own food or buy it from trusted places.
  • Vegetarianism is not starvation. Do not allow yourself to stay hungry, but do not overeat. Eat when your body needs it. You will feel it.
  • Choosing this path of healthy eating, if possible, reduce the amount of salt and sugar intake, as well as unhealthy convenience foods. Give preference to natural sugar substitutes (honey).
  • It is easier to practice a vegetarian diet if you have the support of your loved ones. However, don’t impose your views on family members if they are not ready for it yet.
